I'm not entirely sure what that dense cluster of gold foil at the feet of Elizebeth is obscuring, but looks like divine flames licking her feet to me! And perhaps the curious shape of the whole thing is meant to evoke the holy trinity (sort of in the form of a triquetra?) I believe this
