Last year from barrel this was restrained to the point of being almost mute but that is no longer the case as the nose is now overtly expressive with very ripe and again borderline exotic aromas of yellow orchard fruit along with the more classic scents of citrus

Mauro Veglio, Barolo Rocche Annunziata Vintage:2016 underbrush and cool red berryIn 2014 this is the finest of the four Barolos from this modernist estate. It has a sweet, leafy nose with ripe raspberry fruit. The attack is assertive but perfectly ripe, concentrated with firm tannins and ample acidity without any astringency. The finish is sleek and long, with no rough edges. Aged in one third new barriques.
