I've been on the hunt for another of these brilliant puzzle-type boxes made to hold sewing machine attachments since finding (and immediately selling) one a few months ago--and here one is

Great spare form (this owl feels rather Brutalist to me in the best of ways)

I love the lapis blue of the label

but then it looks to be a shawl draped around the shoulders

Moosilalauke souvenir on Cathay")--which makes me wonderJust a little thing, but I think it's so lovely, like a whittled abstraction of a long limbed modern dancer. I don't know anything of who made it or when, but I sure love the effect of the patch of bark left untouched, as if minimally clothing a figure who reaches out from center in every direction. 5 1 2" longest x 4" wide measured on the square. Very good condition.
